I am so excited to be working at the Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington Public Health Unit. I am truly happy working here, everyone is friendly and helpful and that’s really important when you are a new graduate.
Since arriving in Pembroke to complete the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program, I received nothing but warm welcomes and offers of assistance to help me settle in–especially since I was an out-of-town student. Sure the nursing program was tough, however, being surrounded with supportive Algonquin staff and having smaller class sizes made my educational journey a breeze.
My favourite experience during the four years I spent at Algonquin College in Pembroke was experiencing the launch of the first-ever multicultural event at Algonquin College. I enjoyed contributing some food to the event and interacting with other students and staff too.
As well, Algonquin staff were always open to new ideas and suggestions from students and were always there when I needed help or simply had a question. Indeed, my time at Algonquin College will be missed!
